Vigil for Cop26 at Sandbach Crosses

The participants wanted to demonstrate their concern about the climate crisis and their commitment to support efforts to stop global warming.  Revd Jeremy Tresise led a short time of reflection and prayer yto open and close the vigil

Information about climate change was on display during the vigil and passers-by were given paper boats to represent the hope that humanity will rise to the moment and use this year to set sail towards a more just future.

Carol Griffiths, who gave out the paper boats, said, "I was so pleased that the young people I met seemed to be really aware of the climate issues."
