Church walks - Jacob's Ladder

Saturday June 12th.WALK via Jacob’s Ladder

All are welcome on our next Church Family walk. We will meet at 10-30am in Wheelock. Please gather below the main road canal bridge on the car park between Barchetta’s and the Cheshire Cheese, at CW11 3RL. But DON’T park at Barchetta’s – it’s Pay & Display - park for free across the road, or at Shampaan, or on the estate.

One patch is muddy. No stiles but steps. We will be walking past Shampaan towards Wheelock Heath Farm, Hassall Moss, the golf course and back along the stream valley and Rail Trail. Sadly, this Jacob’s Ladder won’t take you up to Heaven, just down to Hassall Moss.

Meandering round Middlewich 23rd May

A group of 7 enjoyed an easy, and dry, 4 mile circular walk around the canal system, which meets up near Middlewich. We noticed some very odd looking cows, as well as a cute family of swans, with 5 cygnets.

A wet walk in the Dane Valley10th April!

It rained, but the twelve people who turned up all decided they would walk anyway!
We parked at Brereton Country Park and walked across the Dane Valley and Davenport Bridge to Swettenham where the 'short walkers' had a sit and a coffee while the 'long walkers' went on a longer loop round over Swettenham Brook.
Much fellowship was enjoyed!
